Travelling Gastronomers, the UK’s newest pop-up street food market, will be galloping into Nottingham for a weekend of unbridled gastronomic revelry from 20-22 May 2016.
The market will feature a stellar line-up of local food and drinks traders from homegrown heroes Hartland Pies to the Asian-American delights of Masterchef 2015 runner up Pete Hewitt’s Homeboys.
Sassy Crepe Lucette has all your pancake needs covered, Bombay Tapas will blow you away with East African and Indian vegan street food and Creamed Pops will cool you down with their ingenious mix of ice lolly flavours.
And that’s just a taste of more 15 food stalls on offer. It goes without saying there will also be a fully stocked bar with thirst quenching local beers supplied by the magnificent Magpie Brewery.
Dreamt up by fabulous foodie duo Ali Gannagé Addison-Atkinson and Liz Hoskyn, Travelling Gastronomers celebrate the best street food, produce and brews the UK has to offer.
Ali and Liz are on a mission to bring reasonably priced, gastronomic food to towns across the country in a bid to export London’s growing street food revolution far and wide. Each market showcases the best of that town’s local food scene.
Liz said: “London offers so many fantastic opportunities for street food traders and people who can enjoy incredible food on a budget, but why does street food have to be limited to the capital? Our vision is to showcase the great traders that exist outside of London and put their hometowns on the map.”
Ali said: “I love food, I love it more than life. We want to do what we know and love, whilst creating a platform for local traders and customers.”
Pitches for the May market are now limited but Travelling Gastronomers is still open to expressions of interests from traders who would like a pitch or more information on the event.
